One of the leading Honda dealers in Mississippi, Paul Moak Honda, has some exciting news for Honda Accord drivers.  The 2011 Honda Accord Sedan has earned the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) best-possible Overall Vehicle Score of five stars.

This best-possible rating is under the new vehicle safety rating implemented by the federal government.  The Overall Vehicle Score is part of the New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) that is now being used to on 2011 models.  The Overall Vehicle Score represents the combined results of the overall ratings from the frontal crash tests, the side crash tests and the rollover-resistance into a single score.  New vehicles are ranked between one and five stars with a five-star rating being the safest.

The Honda Accord Sedan is one of only six vehicles to achieve a five-star Overall Vehicle Score so far.  The Accord is the first to achieve five stars in each of the three ratings categories: five-star frontal crash rating, five-star side crash rating and five-star rollover rating.
